About

Who? What?

Anime Game Show Party is a small group of anime, manga, video game, and comic fans who team up to provide entertainment and education to attendees of anime and other geeky conventions in North America.

Dusty, the founder of Anime Game Show Party, has been an anime convention attendee, panelist, event host, and staff member since 2001. He began presenting events at a small con in Cincinnati, OH in 2006. Since then, Dusty and his crew have been traveling the continent, focusing on the United States Midwest, to bring authentic and con-friendly game shows to conventions, as well as provide quality panels on a variety of topics.

Why?

The goal of Anime Game Show Party is to provide great programming for convention attendees, while making life easier for the convention staff.

How?

This is only a sample of the principles Anime Game Show Party uses in our work.

  • Attendee-Focused – The attendee is the reason conventions exist. We treat all attendees with respect and courtesy, regardless of any trait.
  • Open Communications, No Surprises – Convention staff will receive updates on the status of the events they have selected, and will receive prompt responses to any questions or concerns. If situations arise, we will work with convention staff to find an agreeable solution.
  • Experience and Flexibility – Dusty has staffed anime conventions in capacities from badge checker to senior leadership since 2004. Other helpers on our projects also have staffing experience and will use it to make working with your convention’s staff pain-free. We are also available to provide “fill-in” programming for panels that cancel last-minute, or for filling time on a stage.  Just ask and we will be happy to discuss.
  • Worry-free Prize Support – For events that offer prizes to attendees, conventions may either offer prizes from their own coffers or allow Anime Game Show Party to provide prizes from our sponsors. All prize support will be finalized before the con. We will never solicit prize support from dealers, artists, or conventions during the event.
  • Open to Feedback – We always want to improve. We welcome praise, and crave constructive criticism.
