LGBT State Status

Last Updated: 25 February 2024

This page lists the US states/territories at which Anime Game Show Party studios will not perform panels or events, will not attend, and its members will not join staff because of laws on the books limiting and/or banning basic rights of LGBTQIA+ community members in their state.

The list uses information from the Human Rights Council about laws passed and in effect that either protect LGBTQIA+ people or limit and eliminate their rights. The data is then weighted based on how the protection or ban helps or hinders people stay safe and enjoy their time at a typical anime convention. As data is updated and more data is added, the list will be changed to hopefully better reflect our deep commitment to the attendees of our panels and live events.
